The opportunity
Southern New Hampshire University's traditional campus is looking for Adjunct Instructors for our School of Arts, Sciences, and Education (SASE) to teach in our Digital Art and Design program. Reporting to our Associate Dean of SASE, we are looking for a video professional and/or instructor who approaches videography as a creative visual communication tool for the exploration of abstract concepts, creative endeavors and the human condition. The successful candidate will introduce students to video aesthetics, and techniques, as well as provide students with hands-on production experience.

Digital Video Production: Level 1
What you'll do:
- Teach and mentor students in digital video production, emphasizing video aesthetics, techniques, and hands-on production experience.
- Guide students in using video as a creative visual communication tool to explore abstract concepts, creative endeavors, and the human condition.
- Provide instruction on the fundamentals of all production stages, including camera operation, lighting, audio, and digital non-linear editing.
- Lead lectures, conduct technical demonstrations, and facilitate discussions on notable video and film directors.
- Support students in production planning and coordination as they develop creative projects.
- Review student work and provide timely, constructive feedback to enhance their technical and creative skills.
What we're looking for:
- Master's degree in a related discipline
- Teaching experience at the college level
- Strong understanding of the fundamentals of all stages of video production
- Camera/lighting/audio/editing equipment usage
- Experience in the use of the camera as a visual tool
- Experience editing in a digital non-linear environment
- Production planning and coordination

Compensation
The standard compensation for courses is $2,800 - $3,400 per 16-week undergraduate or graduate course. Actual pay is determined at the time of course assignment based on discipline.
