The opportunity
The Graduate Assistant, Advancement Communications will support the Advancement Communications team and the Office of External Affairs and Communications (OEAC) in content development, social media management, research, communications planning and general communications support. The Advancement Communications team produces compelling communications to its alumni, donors, partners and friends with the goal of impacting the SNHU brand and fulfilling our mission of student success.
Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the roll of Graduate Assistant for Advancement Communications.
Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following :
- Content Development : Assist with the creation of written, visual and multimedia content, including articles, web design and content management, social media content, photography, and video to support advancement communications.
- Social Media Management : Assist with the management of the SNHU Alumni social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube. Participate in social media planning meetings to brainstorm content and engagement. Help monitor "SNHU Alumni" social media accounts for community management as well as social media trends and engagement opportunities.
- Communications Support : Assist OEAC team with implementing communications plans, including content creation and distribution through social media, alumni.snhu.edu website, email, posters and print pieces, and more. Participate in OEAC team meetings.

This position will reside within the Office of External Affairs and Communications and will be located on the university's main campus in Manchester.

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
