Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry & Record Management
- Accurately scan and input patient demographic details, insurance data, and other essential information
- Process, obtain, and transfer patient records efficiently
- Index, scan, and manage incoming faxes and mail related to medical records
Scheduling & Referrals
- Schedule patient appointments according to provider protocols
- Facilitate specialist referrals and imaging orders by faxing required documentation
- Schedule follow-up appointments at patient check-out to ensure continuity of care
Medical Records Support
- Respond professionally to patient record requests in compliance with privacy regulations
- Collaborate with patients, staff, and management to resolve record-related issues
- Assist in optimizing systems for accurate patient registration and efficient medical record handling
Compliance & Confidentiality
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee, legal, and financial information
- Ensure all duties comply with HIPAA and internal company policies
Team Support & Flexibility
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Practice Manager
