What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Southern Perfection Fabrication?
We are seeking an Industrial maintenance technician, who is a skilled mechanic that can install, repair and maintain industrial machinery. They will work in the manufacturing plant, where they will ensure the smooth running of in-house production equipment. We run a machine shop with machinery and overhead crane, a welding floor with weld equipment and overhead cranes, an industrial wet paint line, and a powder coating facility with overhead conveyor line.
Requirements· Knowledge of the use of hand tools, power tools etc., Knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical systems· Ability to read and understand technical documents, drawings, and blueprints· Strong troubleshooting skills· Ability to operate a forklift· Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
Other Skills;· Problem solving skills and attention to detail· Work effectively with other team members in a loud environment.· 2 years of experience in one or more of the building trades· Valid driver's license· Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience· Electrical skills Preferred
We hire on a 90 day probationary period and benefits start at that time. Benefits include - partial paid health insurance, paid life insurance, paid holidays, bonus program, 401K, 401K match, vacation after 12 months. We have 4 day work week Monday - Thursday. Starting pay is based on knowledge and experience, it will begin between $20-22 per hour, with a raise after 90 days.
