Southern Pipe, Inc. is a manufacturer of PVC Pipe in New London, NC. Extrusion operators are responsible for monitoring the pipe on all lines ensuring the best possible product; Read and record operating conditions every hour to ensure variances are within tolerances; Check bells; Adjust pullers, vacuums and saws as needed; Ensure print on pipe is legible and correct; Manually stack pipe uniformly and neatly into units; Operate forklifts safely to transport approved pipe to staging areas.
Qualified candidates must be able to communicate verbally and in written form; Maintain productivity during work shift; Practice good housekeeping habits for personal safety and safety of coworkers; Recognize and appropriately utilize lock out tag out procedures; Possess basic math skills; Physical stamina to work in uncontrolled internal climate; Occasional overtime work flexibility; Repetitively lift up to 50 pounds; Physical stamina for routine 12-hour shifts. Must be 18 years of age.
