Are you passionate about helping communities recover from disasters? As a Disaster Relief Site Supervisor, you will lead volunteer teams in home repair and construction projects, assisting disaster survivors in rebuilding their homes. This position involves training unskilled volunteers, ensuring safety compliance, and overseeing construction projects. You will work closely with Construction Managers and other team members to maintain high-quality work standards while creating a meaningful volunteer experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
Lead and supervise volunteer teams in residential construction, muck / gut projects, and mold sanitation.
Provide daily safety orientation and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Teach unskilled volunteers construction skills such as framing, drywall installation, mudding, taping, sanding, flooring, baseboard and trim installation, kitchen / bathroom cabinet installation, countertops, sinks, tubs, and toilets.
Occasionally assist with roofing projects.
Ensure all work meets scope and quality standards.
Track volunteer hours, finances, and worksite progress in the Disaster Relief Resource Hub.
Communicate material and tool needs to the Construction Manager.
Maintain emergency contact information and safety resources for volunteer teams. Qualifications and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
OSHA 10-hour training certification, First Aid, and CPR training required.
Minimum of one year overseeing residential construction in the U.S. preferred.
Experience leading volunteers in a post-disaster environment is a plus.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate volunteers of diverse backgrounds.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Must have a valid Georgia driver’s license and pass a comprehensive background check. Schedule and Compensation
Full-time position with benefits.
Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM (Flexible hours).
Travel : 80% local travel required, with some virtual work.
Annual salary : $65,000.
