Southern Point Staffing has a career opportunity for a Disaster Relief Site Supervisor in Valdosta, GA! A Day in the Life of a Disaster Relief Site Supervisor
Are you passionate about making a difference in communities impacted by disasters? As a Disaster Relief Site Supervisor , you will lead volunteer teams in home repair and construction projects , providing essential recovery assistance to disaster survivors. This role involves training unskilled volunteers, ensuring safety protocols, and overseeing construction projects . You’ll work closely with Construction Managers and other team members to maintain high-quality work standards while delivering a meaningful volunteer experience .
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Lead and supervise volunteer teams in residential construction, muck / gut projects, and mold sanitation .
- Provide daily safety orientation and enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) .
- Teach unskilled volunteers essential construction skills , including :
- Framing
- Drywall installation, mudding, taping, and sanding
- Flooring, baseboard, and trim installation
- Kitchen / bathroom cabinet, countertop, sink, and toilet installations
- Occasional roofing projects
- Ensure all work meets scope and quality standards .
- Maintain and track volunteer hours, finances, and worksite progress in the Disaster Relief Resource Hub.
- Communicate material and tool needs to the Construction Manager.
- Maintain emergency contact information and safety resources for volunteer teams. Qualifications and Experience :
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
