What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Coordinator position at Southern Radiology Specialists?
This position will serve as the initial point of contact with patients, referring physicians and their offices, and the general public.
- Checking Patients In/out
- Gathering and inputting demographic and insurance data
- Scheduling & Confirming Appointments
- Obtaining Time of Service benefit information along with insurance authorizations
- Answering the telephone and routing calls to the appropriate party.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional customer service skills are a MUST
- Experience in radiology preferred
- MUST be available to work during the hours of 7am to 6pm.
