Responsibilities
The ideal individual for this position is a Boiler Operator with high pressure steam license and/or 1st Class Stationary Engineer license preferred. General knowledge of building systems with deeper knowledge of HVAC systems. Will work independently covering building repair responsibilities including escalation to other service providers. Experience in hospital and healthcare environments preferred. Experience in triaging malfunctioning steam and HVAC system and performing repairs. Good communications skills mandatory with a strong command of the English language. Ability to use computer based building automation system to command equipment on/off and interpret alarms.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Five (5) years experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred
2. Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints.
3. Valid state driver’s license.
4. Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade that is relative to healthcare engineering (Steam boiler, HVAC, etc)
5. High School Diploma or equivalent required
