What are the responsibilities and job description for the MDS Nurse position at Southern Senior Living?
Job Summary: Southern Senior Living's Lake Moultrie Health and Rehabilitation Center is looking for a Full time MDS Coordinator. The primary purpose of your job position is to assist the full-time MDS Coordinator by helping to conduct and coordinate the development and completion of the resident assessment in accordance with the requirements of this state and the policies and goals of this facility.
Participates in resident and family teaching. Maintains role as resident advocate with a focus on the facility's mission.
Required Education:
Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
License requirement:
Unencumbered Nursing License from the state of South Carolina or Compact State.
Language Skills:
· Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
· Additional languages preferred
Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge
- Must have, as a minimum, six (6) months training experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
- Ability to delegate and follow up to ensure appropriate department management.
