Medical Assistant

What We Do
At Axis Spine and Pain, we provide superior pain management care to patients in the community suffering from chronic pain by utilizing outcome based treatments including nerve blocks to diagnose pain, responsible medication management, and minimally invasive pain management techniques.
How You Contribute and Succeed
The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients as well as follows Partnercare's service standards. You will be a part of the Clinical Care Team and engage our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health. The MA will prepare exam rooms, equipment and supplies needed prior / during patient examinations. Prepares patient for consultation, taking/documenting vital signs (temp, BP, HR, RR) etc. Draws blood, collects specimens, and administers injections. Schedule appointments for patients and is proficient in EMR process. We are seeking someone who is experienced in a medical office setting with the ability to manage a high volume of incoming calls while multitasking effectively in a fast-paced environment
The MA will communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, vendors, physicians, coworkers, and regulatory agencies. Additionally, the MA will work directly with Physician and/or Office Manager on all aspects of practice operations and workflow
The right person for this role will delight in providing a great experience to the patient, will have a curious mind that always looks for a way to improve, and be compassionate for patients experiencing chronic and/or acute pain
We prefer at least two years of experience but are willing to train newer teammates with the right focus on patient care, service, and teamwork.
Education and Experience:
- Certificate of completion of a Medical Assistants course
- Previous work experience preferred.
- Current ACLS and/or CPR certification
