How You Contribute and Succeed
The Medical Payment Poster is a valuable member of the Revenue Cycle team as they ensure that payments that are made via insurance or self-pay are properly applied to the services our patients receive in a timely manner. The general things that they will do to accomplish this goal includes:
- Will be working with Lockbox’s, electronic and Manual Payments.
- Accurately applies all payments and adjustments to individual patient accounts based on documents Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
- Process credit card payments received in the mail. Performs other duties as needed.
- Balances posting to bank deposits and thoroughly researches and reports any variances.
- Processes Electronic Remittance as directed, resolving all edits, and importing Electronic Advice
- Preparation of posting batches when applicable
- Work overpayment worklists in accordance with CMS required timelines
- Process refund checks, collection payments and do a daily mail sort.
The right person for this role will delight in providing great customer service to patients and providers, a strong attention to detail and prioritization skills, and be compassionate for patients experiencing chronic and/or acute pain. To be successful in this role, the person will be a great team member, working together with others, kind and friendly, open to feedback for growth, and a role model of our values.
We prefer at least two years of experience but are willing to train newer teammates with the right focus on patient care, service, and teamwork.
