As a Branch Operations Manager with Southern States Toyotalift : You will manage all branch functions and personnel at a high level. A leader of leaders, you will be responsible for the day-to-day performance of the branch and supervision of all managers. Your goal will be to maximize customer satisfaction by creating and maintaining timely, high quality service operations at competitive costs, while maintaining sufficient profit margins and professional image for Southern States Material Handling.

What you Need:
- 2-5 years related work experience in service-related industry preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in material handling a plus
- 2 years management experience preferred
- Supervisory experience with 2-6 direct reports preferred
- Proficient with MS Office Professional and Windows
- Time management, organizational, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and set priorities, as well as adapt to changing conditions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understand applicable government regulations and regulatory bodies such as OSHA preferred.
Education and Certification Needed:
- High School diploma or GED
- BA/BS in business from a four-year college, university, or equivalent a plus
What you'll Do:
- Manage multiple priorities for a Material Handling solutions branch: service, parts, and sales. This position manages all branch operations including direct customer contact, billing cycles, and equipment inventory.
- Successfully manage people to achieve performance goals. Excellent people management skills including resolving conflict, coaching, and developing others, promoting teamwork, and performance management.
- Supervise and schedule work for a team of individuals with differing levels of skill to enable them to achieve performance and quality standards.
- Utilize strong communication skills to communicate successfully with a wide variety of individual personality types; maintain positive communications with all staff and customers.
- Direct information and feedback; present information in a supportive and professional manner
- Analyze and prioritize information, distilling it to the critical issues and drawing accurate conclusions.
- Manage complexities and competing priorities. Coordinate information and activities among groups with differing agendas, across multi-functional areas.
- Data processing including data analysis, process analysis, and process modeling.
- Design, implement, and refine systems to manage complex processes and to optimize performance.
- Anticipate human resources needs, notify recruiting of need, interview, select, train and motivate a capable staff.
- Responsible for observing workloads, scheduling leaves, and maintaining adequate staffing to meet the department's needs for efficient operations and profitability.
- Recommend or makes personnel decisions on salaries, job performance and terminations.
- Continuously monitor department goals, objectives, and policies to assure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
- Fair and consistent enforcement of company policies and procedures, as well as the business ethics specific to our customers; maintaining a knowledge of company policies, procedures, products, and services; lead by example and follow all company policies and procedures.
- Oversee the verification of staff timecards, time tickets and service job sheets
- Take initiative in developing new methods and procedures for the department as required
- Using database, spreadsheet, and word-processing software to prepare various versions of complex statistical and written summary reports for different levels of management.
- Maintain and increase branch profit margins
- Develop strong product line knowledge to actively assist customers in making informed equipment maintenance and service decisions.
- Monitor and encourage superior customer communications skills for all department personnel.
- Assist customers achieve competitive advantage in getting their products to market, improving their profits and their productivity
- Confer with customers as required for problem/solution resolution and proper supervision of equipment repair and maintenance.
- Read, analyze, and interpret general to in-depth business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of top managers, employees, executives, clients, customers, and the general public, and/or other employees
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Responsible for the profit and loss of Service, Parts and Rental lines of business.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner and actively promote safety and the enforcement of safety rules and policies, including the proper disposal of hazardous waste or scrap parts and materials.
