- Strong initiative, self-starting, and goal-oriented mindset
- Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills in task orientated environment.
- Ability to multi-task, have a strong attention to detail, and manage multiple assignments and tasks and set priorities, as well as adapt to changing conditions and work assignments.
- Capable of calculating figures/accounting (add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate discounts, interest, and taxes).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions one-on-one and in small groups with customers, managers, and other employees.
- Must possess high levels of organization to track and manage assets and necessary communications between internal and external partners.
- Strong MS Office experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Mechanical aptitude a plus.
Education and Certification Needed:
- 3 years of experience in wholesale equipment sales, or asset disposal (in material handling or heavy equipment).
- Sales or liquidation experience preferred.
- Experience with fleet valuation, asset depreciation, and resale strategies
- Experience in inventory management and asset tracking systems.
What you'll Do:
- Manage and oversee the disposal, resale, or scrapping of forklifts, equipment, and other fleet assets reaching the end of their lifecycle.
- Build and maintain relationships with wholesale clients including scrap yards, used equipment dealers, and other resale partners to ensure maximum return on retired assets.
- Build and maintain relationship with Toyota and Raymond dealers and other applicable material handling companies.
- Identify and secure new wholesale business opportunities.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Coordinate the end-of-lease process, managing the smooth return or resale of leased equipment, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Inventory & Valuation: Assess asset conditions, determine salvage value, and coordinate appraisals as needed.
- Manage the flow of wholesale goods, including warehousing, inventory control, and logistics.
- Optimize wholesale inventory levels to meet demand and minimize costs.
- Ensure wholesale products are stored and handled properly.
- Negotiation & Sales: Work with buyers, wholesalers, and scrappers to negotiate competitive pricing for end-of-life equipment.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to decide the course of action for off-lease equipment.
- Develop and implement wholesale sales strategies.
- Monitor market trends and competitive strategies.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure proper documentation, regulatory compliance, and environmental considerations for asset disposal.
- Ensure proper disposal of the wholesale materials, in accordance with environmental and safety guidelines.
- Market Analysis: Monitor trends in the used equipment and scrap market to optimize resale strategies.
- Maintain detailed records and systems to ensure accurate and timely information retrieval of applicable units and assets.
- Prepare and present sales reports to senior management.
- Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor financial performance and ensure profitability.
- Pre-emptively markets off-lease trucks to potential buyers.
- Any other duties assigned needed to help drive our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization's Values.
- Mon-Fri 8am – 5pm
- Travel- Up to 30%
