What are the responsibilities and job description for the AUTOBODY PAINT PREPPER position at SOUTHERN TEAM AUTOMALL?
Southern Team Automall, Virginias' #1 Volume New Car Dealer is seeking motivated, energetic individuals that are able to learn quickly and start generating results immediately. We currently have an opening for experienced Auto Body Paint Prepper in our state-of-the-art Collision Center.
Must be at least 20 years old with valid driver's license and acceptable driving record-NO DUI OR RECKLESS DRIVING. Position is located in Body Shop/Collision Center and is full-time. Candidates must have experience preparing automobiles for the painting process and be deadline-driven. Must be comfortable driving a manual transmission and work as part of a team. Hourly rate will be based on experience and skill level.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare vehicles for the painting process
- Be deadline driven
- Must have basic computer skills
- Document all repairs performed
- Document all materials used
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner
- Follow all company safety procedures
- Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous waste
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Past dealership experience required
- Past collision center experience is required as well
- Completion of vocational program preferred, but not required
- Able to work in fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
- Must be at least 20 years of age
