Southern Technical College is seeking a Financial Aid Processor.
Financial Aid Processors are responsible for ensuring all Title IV aid for continuing students is processed timely and in compliance with Title IV regulations. This individual is also responsible for ensuring that R2T4 calculations and refunds are processed within regulatory timeframes. Additionally, this individual must display the ability to work independently, be conscientious, able to express him/herself in a pleasant but firm manner, and must be able to adapt to change. This individual must also possess good oral and written communication skills, as well as be extremely detailed oriented.

- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;
- Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines;
- Must be able to work independently within a team environment;
- Above average computer skills particularly in Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
Basic qualifications for the position include:
- Associates degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Prior experience with state and federal financial aid is a plus
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for processing continuing students aid
· Responsible for timely and accurate processing of files
· Process R2T4 calculations and reconcile accounts for all withdrawn students
· Review accounts for accuracy for all graduate students
· Review files for Quality Assurance and compliance with DOE regulations
Skills:
· Exceptionally detailed oriented, organized and able to meet deadlines
Able to work independently, but just as well in a team setting
