Job Description

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Job Specialty : Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM, every other weekend required

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 2 years of ICU experience

License : Licensed in the state of Tennessee or compact license

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS

Must-Have :

Previous ICU experience
Critical thinking skills

Job Description :

Looking for an RN with Med / Surg experience and an interest in floating to a MedSurg unit

May be required to float to other non-specialty areas, primarily Med / Surg

Manage patients with sepsis, CHF, pneumonia, COPD, and DKA

Target patient population includes adults, geriatric patients, and seasonal pediatric cases

Understands general expectations of 1 : 2 patient ratios in the ICU

Use of Medhost Electronic Health Record (EHR) system

Works under the supervision of an interim director

Expected to adhere to dress code; no artificial nails allowed

Personality Fit : The ideal candidate is upbeat, optimistic, and maintains objectivity in challenging situations.
