Service Technician

Job Summary
Southern Tier Powersports, Inc is seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of motorcycles, ATV's, Side by Sides, snowmobiles, watercraft and trailers. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality service and effective problem-solving.

Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Document all service activities accurately in compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role in powersports services.
• Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot various equipment issues.
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Ability to work independently while managing time effectively.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Motorcycle and Trailer Inspection license.
• Must be able to perform all levels of maintenance and repairs on Motorcycles, ATVs, Side by Sides, Snowmobiles, and Watercraft!
• Fully and properly conduct inspections on units before and after service is performed
• Document all work performed on each unit
• Keep up to date with factory training and certifications
• Must have your own tools necessary for the job
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and direction
• Required to operate in compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures
• Use proper testing equipment and procedures to ensure repairs and maintenance were effective
• Understand specific electronic systems in products sold by the dealership
• Must be a team player and work well with others

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one year of technician experience
• Ownership of tools
• Valid driver's license

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
