Position Summary:
We are looking for a results-driven Commercial Tire & Mechanical Repair Sales Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and selling commercial tires and fleet mechanical repair services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial tires, fleet maintenance, and mechanical repair solutions, combined with excellent sales and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development:
- Identify, target, and secure new commercial accounts in the transportation, construction, and logistics industries.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals for tires and fleet mechanical repair services.
- Conduct cold calls, client visits, and presentations to promote products and services.
- Provide product recommendations based on customer needs, usage, and fleet specifications.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business and customer loyalty.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding tire sales, repair services, pricing, and order fulfillment.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide ongoing account support, including inventory management and fleet evaluations.
Product & Industry Knowledge:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor pricing, and new product offerings.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of commercial tires, mechanical repair services, wheel alignments, balancing, retreading, and fleet maintenance solutions.
- Conduct fleet inspections and recommend service solutions that improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with service teams to ensure quality repairs and timely service delivery.
Operations & Reporting:
- Work closely with the service department to coordinate repairs, installations, and product deliveries.
- Track and report sales performance, client interactions, and market trends using CRM software.
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms with clients while ensuring profitability.
- Assist in marketing initiatives, including promotions, trade shows, and industry events.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 years of sales experience, preferably in commercial tires, mechanical repair, or fleet services.
- Strong knowledge of tire products, mechanical repair services, and fleet maintenance solutions.
- Proven ability to develop new business and maintain client relationships.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned territory.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field.
- Experience with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
- Familiarity with tire retreading, wheel balancing, and alignment services.
- Existing network of fleet or commercial clients.
