Vehicle Mechanic Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Mechanic to keep America rolling with our family-owned company that continues to grow after 50 years in business. You will be responsible for repairing a variety of vehicles and transmission systems.
Responsibilities:
- Repairs automobiles, trucks, buses, and other motor vehicles
- Alignments on semi and commercial trucks
- Performs routine vehicle maintenance
- Uses diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
- Performs quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the customer
· Participates in training, follows safety procedures, and adheres to company policies
· Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a mechanic
- Knowledge of shop equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work under a deadline
- Is detail-oriented
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
· Must be 21 years of age or older
· Must pass pre-employment drug screen
· Repetitive and sustained exertions, forceful exertions, awkward postures, mechanical stress concentrations, and vibrations
