Job Description
Summary/objective
The Coordinator of Residential Life, Intramural Sports, and Esports (RLISE) is responsible for managing front desk operations, serving as lead to student staff, organizing and overseeing intramural sports programs, and coordinating esports activities. This role involves working closely with students, staff, and other campus or community departments to ensure efficient residential front desk operations, vibrant recreational programs, and engaging esports events. This is a 12-month, live-in position. The Coordinator of RLISE is expected to work evenings, weekends and participate in the University's 24hr on-call rotation.
The Coordinator of RLISE is responsible for managing Residential Assistants and report directly to the Dean of Students/Director, Residential Life and Housing. The Coordinator RLISE will closely work with other housing and student affairs professionals to support student success and well-being.
Essential functions

1. Maintain accurate records related to front desk staff and scheduling, intramural sports participation, and esports activities.
2. Lead the Resident Assistants and Community Programming.
3. Provide support and assistance to students with housing-related inquiries and issues.
4. Plan, organize, and manage intramural sports programs and events, including leagues, tournaments, and recreational activities.
5. Develop schedules, oversee team registrations, and ensure facilities are prepared and available for intramural activities.
6. Recruit, train, and supervise Ras, and student workers, officials, and volunteers involved in intramural sports programs.
7. Serve as lead for the RA Recruitment and Selection Process
8. Coordinate and oversee esports activities, including tournaments, leagues, and regular gaming events.
9. Manage the esports facilities, including equipment maintenance, scheduling, and ensuring a high-quality gaming environment.
10. Develop partnerships with gaming organizations, sponsors, and vendors to enhance the esports program and secure resources.
11. Engage with students to promote participation in housing, intramural sports, and esports activities.
12. Provide guidance and support to student leaders, participants, and teams involved in these programs.
13. Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to front desk operations, Resident Assistants, intramural sports, or esports activities.
14. Other duties as assigned.

Required education and experience
- High school diploma plus 2 years of relevant experience required OR a bachelor’s degree.
- Valid, unexpired drivers’ license.
- Night, weekend, and on-call availability required.
- Ability to serve in the “on-call duty” rotation for campus-wide emergencies – 2 to 3 weeks per semester or as needed.
- Must possess a commitment to student development, student learning, and promoting an understanding of the value of diversity in the University community.
- Requires the kind of teamwork, supervision, and personal interaction, that cannot be had in a home office situation; therefore, regular and predictable on-site attendance is a job requirement.
Preferred education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- 1 year of live-in residence hall experience.
- Master’s degree desirable.
- Knowledge of Student Development Theory and current trends/best practices for positively engaging students within a residential facility preferred.
