What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procedure Nurse position at Southern Urology Lafayette?
FULL TIME LPN OR RN NEEDED FOR A PROCEDURE/OR NURSE POSITION IN OUR BUSY SPECIALTY CLINIC.
- Catheter insertion, removals and voiding trials.
- Candidates may be asked to give injections
- Candidate must be able to prioritize and multi-task since you would be asked to work with ALL providers in our office.
- Charting in EMR
- Communicate with Providers
- Track and maintain medical supply inventory for your area
- Prepping and assisting Doctors with patient procedures - discussing post-op instructions
- Room set-up and breakdown and sterilization of instruments
THIS IS A PERMANENT FULL TIME POSITION (NO NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS)
WE ARE A BUSY SPECIALTY CLINIC - CANDIDATES MUST BE PERSONABLE AND HAVE EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS. CANDIDATES MUST ALSO HAVE AT LEAST 3 YEARS OF WORKING IN A OR or PROCEDURE SETTING WITH PATIENT CARE. CANDIDATES MUST ALSO HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF COMPUTERS AND EMR. ON THE JOB TRAINING IS PROVIDED.
