What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Management Specialist position at Southern Ute Indian Tribe?
As a Construction Operations Manager with the Southern Ute Indian Tribe, you will play a key role in managing and coordinating all functions and activities required to initiate, manage, and complete construction related projects. This position involves assisting in the delivery of professional project management and support services to the Tribe.
The successful candidate will assist the Tribal Housing Director in leading, overseeing, and directing design engineers, architects, inspectors, soils testers, surveyors, contractors, other consultants and testing organizations involved in ongoing and/or proposed construction projects. You will also coordinate and communicate with other Tribal Departments as needed on all projects and programs.
This position requires strong project management skills, including estimating, managing, and maintaining budgets throughout the project delivery process. You must be able to generate monthly spend down reports on projects and other reports as needed by the Finance Department.
You will identify and manage both internal and external risks associated with any given project. Additionally, you will develop and maintain spreadsheet tracking systems for all expenditures on Tribal as well as federally funded projects.
