Southern Winds Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Wound Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for assessing and managing wounds, including those resulting from accidents, to determine appropriate treatment plans. You will work closely with physicians, patients, families, and healthcare administrators to ensure the best possible care and recovery outcomes. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will also play a key role in educating patients and their families on care practices that promote healing and wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate the specific needs of each patient to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide education to patients and their families on effective wound care, promoting healing, and enhancing wellness.
- Monitor and document patient progress, treatments, and responses in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians to ensure coordinated and efficient care throughout the recovery process.
- Perform additional nursing duties as required to support patient care and department needs.
Requirements:
- Current RN (Registered Nurse) license in the state.
- Certification and prior experience in wound care is strongly preferred.
- Bachelors degree in nursing (BSN) or equivalent experience is highly preferred.
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
- Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
