General Summary of Duties: Provides individual, family, marriage and crisis intervention for children, adults, and families in need. Responsible for providing professional counseling services to a diverse population of clients including individual and family therapy to children and adults for a variety of mental health needs.

Responsible for providing professional counseling services to a diverse population of clients including individual and family therapy to children and adults for a variety of mental health needs.
Major Responsibilities
- Completes comprehensive assessment and formulates a diagnostic impression through conducting client and family interviews for the development of a treatment plan.
- Prepares an individualized treatment plan to include goals, interventions, and criteria for achievement. Evaluates client response to treatment and modifies treatment plan as needed.
- Conducts individual and family counseling sessions with clients.
- Documents counseling services in medical record that is audited by a supervisor on a regular basis to include clinical service notes, progress summaries, treatment plans, assessments, and other needed documentation to meet insurance requirements.
- Maintains regular communication verbally or in written form with client family members and other medical professionals on an as needed basis.
- Provides counseling services consistent with the established ethical standards of an LPC, LMFT, or LISW-CP in South Carolina.
- Perform other related duties as directed or assigned.
- Hold an active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Social Worker – Clinical Practice (LISW-CP) license in South Carolina.
