Job Summary: As a Day and Night Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive dining experience for customers during both daytime and nighttime operations. Your responsibilities will include taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining a clean and organized dining area, and providing excellent customer service. This position requires flexibility in working hours to cover both daytime and nighttime shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and assist them in choosing menu items. Take accurate food and beverage orders and convey special requests to the kitchen. Ensure prompt and courteous service to enhance customer satisfaction. Address customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
Order Processing: Enter orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately. Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders. Verify the accuracy of orders before serving them to customers.
Table Maintenance: Set up and clean tables promptly. Clear dishes and reset tables for the next customers. Monitor and address the needs of customers throughout their dining experience.
Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth service operations. Assist in training new servers as needed.
Cash Handling: Handle cash and card transactions accurately. Provide customers with receipts and process payments efficiently.
Cleanliness and Organization: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dining area. Perform side work, such as refilling condiments, restocking supplies, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
Adherence to Policies: Follow all company policies and procedures related to food handling, safety, and hygiene. Comply with alcohol service regulations and ensure responsible beverage service.
Shift Flexibility: Be available to work both daytime and nighttime shifts as scheduled. Adapt to varying levels of customer activity and pace of work.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lift and carry trays of food and beverages.
- Navigate a crowded and dynamic restaurant environment.
