As the Director of Nursing at Southgate Nursing and Rehab, you will oversee nursing operations, ensuring the highest standards of patient care are met. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the nursing team to ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote resident safety and well-being.
- Conduct regular assessments of nursing practices and patient outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans for residents.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of resident information.
- Provide training, mentorship, and support to nursing staff in clinical practices and professional development.
- Monitor staffing levels and manage shift schedules effectively to meet patient needs.
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure a respectful environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Illinois state license; BSN preferred.
- Proven experience in nursing administration or leadership roles within a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and resident rights.
- Demonstrated ability in acute care or home health settings is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in shift management.
- Knowledge of physiology related to elderly care is essential.
