We are currently accepting applications for a part-time Graphic Design Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check.

DEADLINE

IDEAL CANDIDATE
Graphic Design teacher should have both creativity and technical know-how to bring design concepts to life. Candidate must be professional and supportive. Must have the ability to cultivate and steward talent within students.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment.
1. Demonstrate the ability to inspire learning, creativity, and cultivate relationships with students.
2. Prepare appropriate weekly lesson plans including instructional objectives, planned activities, Biblical integration, assessments, and resources.
3. Incorporate effective classroom management and discipline procedures to provide for a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
4. Regularly review and update course curriculum guide/maps to assure the fulfillment of proper instructional priorities and pacing.
5. Model effective teacher/parent partnering through timely communication with parents in support of student learning.
6. Give evidence of a Biblical worldview and a personal spiritual commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and should be committed to and in agreement with the philosophy and objectives of Southlake Christian Academy.
7. Maintain professional appearance as defined in employee handbook.
8. Exercise a high degree of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree is required and a concentration in Graphic Design is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience as an inhouse or agency designer, preferably in print production, marketing, or a communications role.
