Job Goal: To plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program
in a secondary environment that guides and encourages students to develop and
fulfill their academic potential.
Qualifications: Illinois Professional Educator License in Physics
Reports to: CEO or designee
Sample List of Duties and Responsibilities:
· The teacher will provide quality instructional for students in regular and honors
courses in physics.
· Establish a positive and supportive environment for an effective instructional
program.
· Encourage consistent productive classroom environment.
· Demonstrate respect for diverse perspectives, ideas, and options.
· Accept and value students from diverse cultures and treat all students
equitably.
· Assist students in setting goals and assuming responsibility.
· Enforce school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policies.
· Use technology resources effectively.
· Instruction is guided by the Danielson Framework of Teaching.
· Collaborate with others to improve student academic performance
Communicate effectively with staff members, students, parents,
administrators, and community personnel.
· Provide accurate and timely information to parents and students about
student attendance.
· Keep administrators informed of parent contact and document interaction.
· Professional responsibilities that must be adhered to;
· Act in a professional and ethical manner and adhere at all times to ethical
behavior and professional conduct which is consistent with federal, state,
and Board policies.
· Demonstrate attention to punctuality and regular attendance.
· Ensure adherences to good safety standards.
· Maintain confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters.
· Demonstrate initiative in the performance of assigned responsibilities.
· Demonstrate support for the school and its goals and policies.
· Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.
