We, at Southland Amusements & Vending, Inc are searching for an accountant to join our expert team. Over the past 40 years we have built a reputation as an industry leader in coin-operated gaming. As an accountant you will have the opportunity to manage your day-to-day schedule to meet all of our company requirements. This role is for a confident, driven individual who will be comfortable working in a small team with our other skilled accountants. As an accountant with Southland you will enjoy digging into details, creating improvements, and fostering relationships with our dedicated staff. You are a structured, organized individual who is familiar with all aspects of the accounting process as well as being familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Your strong work ethic, integrity, and overall adaptability will make you an integral piece of our working community.
General Responsibilities:
- Processing AP and GL Ledger
- Processing bank reconciliations.
- Record asset purchases and maintain depreciation schedules.
- Preparing and analyzing monthly financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Provide other timely reports on an as-needed basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites or related software.

Education and Experience:
- 2-3 years in business accounting experience preferred.
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred.
- Knowledge of billing, cash application, accounts payable, and accounting procedures is required.
- Working knowledge of accounting and financial analysis software required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Frequent interaction with others to exchange information and resolve discrepancies.
- Ability to work extended hours as needed.
