Position Overview: The Physical Therapy Aide plays a vital role in supporting the Physical Therapist team to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services. This position involves instructing patients in therapeutic exercises and managing patient flow to ensure effective treatment implementation. Our practice focuses on creating an exceptional patient experience to promote health and happiness.
Key Responsibilities and Clinical Duties:
- Patient Interaction: Maintain a welcoming, positive, and empathetic attitude to foster a supportive environment.
- Therapeutic Exercise Instruction: Demonstrate, instruct, and assist patients with therapeutic exercises as well as modality assignment as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
- Quality Care: Provide attentive care and ensure patients adhere to their individualized therapy programs.
- Facility Maintenance: Conduct regular cleaning tasks for the gym, treatment rooms, and common areas to maintain a hygienic and safe environment.
- Professional Conduct: Practice discretion and integrity in all job-related activities to uphold the standards of the practice.

Job Summary of Physical Therapy Aide Responsibilities:
- Facilitate patient flow between the lobby, treatment rooms, and gym.
- Communicate concerns about patient care to Physical Therapists and management.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of PT equipment, performing repairs when possible and/or reporting deficiencies timely to management.
- Check and maintain the quality of electrodes for stimulation units.
- Organize and restock supplies in treatment areas; alert management when supplies are low.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and clinic standards.

Physical Requirements:
- Physical Therapy Aides must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks which involves bending and/or squatting
Schedule:
- Flexible availability required
- Part Time available Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Qualifications:
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to the Physical Therapy tasks of proper form/technique and cueing of physical therapy exercises.
- Ability to take direction from the Physical Therapist to apply the appropriate exercises and modalities.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to execute and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
- Flexibility to cover schedules when necessary
- Available to work 20-30 hrs per week
Preferred
- Bilingual Korean, Chinese or Spanish
- Prior work experience as a Physical Therapy Aide
- Education relative to what physical therapy embodies, i.e. certificate/licensure for personal training or CSCS, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
- General knowledge of proper form/technique and cueing of physical therapy exercises
