ACCOUNTANT

A Dealership Accountant is responsible for ensuring the financial integrity of a car dealership by maintaining accurate records, managing financial transactions, and preparing reports. They also handle accounts payable and receivable, process warranty claims, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining Financial Records:Accurately record all dealership transactions, including vehicle sales, service department revenues, and inventory.
• Bookkeeping and Reporting:Prepare financial statements, manage bank reconciliations, and ensure timely and accurate monthly and annual reports.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable:Process invoices, track payments, and manage relationships with vendors and customers.
• Warranty Management:Process and manage warranty claims to ensure accurate reimbursement.
• Regulatory Compliance:Ensure the dealership complies with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Payroll Management:Oversee payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely employee payments.
• Inventory Management:Maintain accurate records of inventory, including new and used vehicles, parts, and accessories.
• Budgeting and Analysis:Assist in developing and monitoring budgets, analyzing financial performance, and identifying areas for improvement.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Providing Support to Other Departments: Assist other departments with accounting-related tasks and inquiries.
• Ensuring Data Integrity: Verify the accuracy and completeness of all financial data.
• Staying Current: Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations related to the automotive industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
