Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Powersports and Mower Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of powersports vehicles (motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, etc.) and lawn mowers. A strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a passion for powersports and small engine repair are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosis and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair powersports vehicles, lawn mowers, and other small engine equipment, including but not limited to engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, and brakes.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, air filter replacements, and overall performance checks to ensure customer satisfaction and equipment longevity.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate directly with customers to provide updates on repairs, recommend services, and explain technical issues in a clear and understandable manner.
- Parts Management: Order and maintain inventory of parts and tools required for repairs. Ensure that all repairs are performed using the proper equipment and parts.
- Quality Assurance: Test all equipment after repairs to ensure it operates to manufacturer standards. Perform a final inspection to verify that repairs have been completed correctly.
- Documentation: Accurately document all repairs, maintenance, and parts used. Complete service records and provide estimates for repairs and services.
- Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and waste disposal.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the service team to meet performance and service goals. Assist other technicians with complex repairs as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in powersports and mower service, repair, and maintenance (motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, lawn mowers).
- Mechanical Knowledge: Strong understanding of small engine mechanics, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Certifications: Certification in small engine repair or relevant industry certifications (preferred, but not required).
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality in work to ensure customer satisfaction and safe operation of equipment.
- Communication: Good communication skills for explaining technical issues to customers and team members.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods.

Education and Experience:
