What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Server/ Wait Staff position at Southland Restaurant and Catering?
Southland Restaurant and Catering is hiring for serving/wait staff. Must be 17 years old or more. Part time hours or full time - we will work with you on a flexible schedule if you can pick up 3-4 shifts a week or 1-2 weekend shifts. Dining hours are 11-3pm Tues-Fri and 11-8pm Sat/Sun.
We offer competitive serving base wage of $5 per hr plus 100% tips (no tip pool). Expectation for an experienced server with great service would be $18-25 per hour or more including tips. We are a high volume seasonal restaurant serving locals and travelers to and from the Outer Banks. We are family owned and operated and have been a landmark on Hwy 168 in Moyock, NC for over 45 years. Menu is home style comfort casual and service hours do not go beyond 8pm. We require neatness, uniformed appearance, and you to be attentive, well spoken, prompt and very reliable. You will handle dine in and take out orders and may be asked to assist with offsite catered events from time to time.
