We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare comprehensive estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure alignment on project scope and budget.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
- Utilize Bluebeam for takeoffs and document management to streamline the estimating process.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
- Prepare reports on cost control measures and provide recommendations for improving efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with cost control processes and contract negotiation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong negotiation abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to assess complex data effectively.
- Experience working on public construction sites and speaking Spanish is a plus.
