We are a busy and growing general dental practice committed to providing exceptional patient care. We are looking for a dedicated and friendly Schedule Coordinator/ Receptionist to increase our appointment scheduling and ensure every patient receives prompt attention. This role will primarily focus on answering calls, scheduling appointments, and following up with patients, while also providing front desk coverage as needed.
Position Summary:
The Phone Scheduler & Front Desk Receptionist will be the first point of contact for our patients, responsible for handling a high volume of calls, scheduling appointments efficiently, and assisting with front desk tasks when necessary. This role is essential in improving patient communication and ensuring a smooth office workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
Phone Scheduling & Patient Communication:
- Answer and return patient calls promptly and professionally.
- Schedule and confirm appointments while maximizing the provider’s schedule.
- Follow up on missed appointments and unscheduled treatment plans.
- Educate patients on treatment options, insurance, and payment policies.
- Maintain a positive and empathetic approach to patient interactions.
Front Desk Support (As Needed):
- Greet and check in patients with a warm and welcoming attitude.
- Verify and update patient insurance and personal information.
- Collect payments and process transactions.
- Assist with office administrative tasks such as scanning and data entry.
Ideal Candidate:
✔ Strong Communication Skills – Clear, friendly, and professional phone etiquette.
✔ Scheduling Expertise – Experience with dental software (Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Open Dental, or similar) is a plus.
✔ Detail-Oriented & Organized – Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
✔ Customer Service Focused – Patient-centered approach with a helpful and positive attitude.
✔ Reliable & Adaptable – Able to step in at the front desk when needed.
✔ Prior Dental Office Experience Preferred – Familiarity with dental terminology and insurance verification is a plus.
