Essential Functions
Must be able to complete the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation and meet all the mandatory qualifications.
- Operate bucket trucks and/or lifts safely and efficiently for high-access trimming tasks.
- Operate specialized tree felling equipment, small and large chain saws, wood chippers stump grinders and other tools and equipment as necessary to complete assigned duties.
- Trim areas under and adjacent to power distribution lines in accordance with established cutting requirements and avoid damage to underground and above ground utilities and personal property belonging to CHELCO consumers.
- Cut away dead and excess branches from trees at ground level and clear branches around power lines and guy wires using hand or power tools, and chainsaws.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience, which provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities and other competencies required for the position may be considered.
- Minimum of one year qualifying experience in tree trimming.
- Minimum of one year experience in bucket truck boom lift and woodchipper operation.
- Posses and maintain a valid State of Florida CDL Class A.
