The Firm's practice is limited to Creditor's Rights, including foreclosure, bankruptcy, evictions, replevin, collections and related civil litigation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Attorney/Legal Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret laws, rulings, statutes, decisions and regulations to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuit.
- Prepare and draft legal documents.
- Gather evidence to formulate defense or initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witness to ascertain the facts of a case.
- Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
- Prepare and attend legal proceedings with the ability to clearly and effectively summarize cases to judges.
Management Responsibilities:
- Ensures quality departmental standards through effective employee performance management, to include employee training and development, and consistently administering personnel policies and procedures.
- Assume other responsibilities as position requires.
Departmental Responsibilities:
- Review client referrals and the corresponding case for pre-existing or potential issues.
- Review, analyze, and provide recommendations for any corrections that may be required for legal documents.

Qualifications / Required Skills
- Juris Doctor
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Kansas and Missouri, required.
- Intermediate knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office Programs
- 4 - 7 years of practice
- Higher consideration for applicants who's experience includes litigating in Collections, Foreclosures, Bankruptcy, Default industry
- Ability to type a minimum of 45 WPM
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical requirements
The ability to work in an office environment, seated for long periods of time, in front of a computer, while typing documents, responding to emails, managing calendars and answering phones. This position requires frequent travel, up to 25% of work week, to various court proceedings.
