TMS and Peer Tenancy Team Lead Qualified Professional - Full Time

As our Transitional Management Services (TMS) and Peer Tenancy Team Lead, you will ensure that services run smoothly, clients receive optimal care, and that services provided are consistent with service definitions and scopes of work in conjunction with the TCL Program Manager. You will provide direct care services to identified clients. This role also includes elements of staff management and development and administrative oversite of program specific tasks.

This position covers Wake, Johnston, Durham and Orange counties.


Schedule

Flexible - daytime hours up to 40 hours per week.

Lead weekly team meetings 2x per week.

Pay

Starting at $23.00 per hour mileage reimbursement.

Full-time employees are eligible for medical benefits the first of the month 30 days after hire date. Options for a standard plan and an HSA plan with a $300 initial contribution and up to a $25 per paycheck match. 10 paid holidays and PTO hours which accrue at a rate of 10 hours per month. After 6 months employees are eligible to enroll in our 401(k) plan which has a 4% match. Company paid life insurance, short and long term disability, in house and paid training opportunities, and additional pay for working holidays. SouthLight is also eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).

We are excited to offer an additional benefit of Clinical Supervision Reimbursement. We will provide a monthly reimbursement of up to $200 (full-time) or $100 (part-time) to each associate level clinician electing this benefit for no more than 2 years, or until licensure is completed, whichever is first. Licensures eligible to receive this benefit include LCSWA, LCMHCA, LMFTA, LPA, LCASA, and CADC.


Job Responsibilities of a TMS and Peer Tenancy Team Lead

  • Provide supervision to team members including direct observation and evaluation of model fidelity
  • Development and support team members toward independent practice and to fully meet job requirements
  • Review and certify notes and documentation for staff, as needed
  • Ensure follow up with supervisees' documents including but not limited to: failed activities, service notes, authorizations, person centered plans, NC TOPPS, etc.
  • Responsible for completing authorization for services
  • Aid in development of functional skills (managing medication routines, budgeting skills, learning how to access health care, independent daily living skills, etc.)
  • Model recovery values, attitudes, beliefs, and personal action to encourage wellness
  • Promote self-advocacy and empower clients to use their legal rights and access entitlements
  • Provide linkage to community resources
  • Encourage development of natural supports where possible
  • Maintain and submit required documentation (treatment plans, service notes, service authorization requests, required data collection etc.)
  • Guide and encourage beneficiaries to take responsibility for and actively participate in their own recovery
  • Participate in skill-building activities to increase ability to integrate recovery and wellness practices into daily activities
  • Recognize and appropriately respond to conditions that constitute an emergency

Qualifications of a TMS and Peer Tenancy Team Lead

Education and Experience

  • 2 yrs experience supervising community intervention and crisis services
  • 3-5 yrs experience working in community mental health setting
  • Meets requirements for Qualified Professional ("QP") as specified in NC statue

Certifications

  • Must qualify to become a NC Peer Support Specialist Certification (CPSS) as a person with personal, lived experience in MH and/or SU (if you aren't already certified, we can enroll you in a class during the onboarding process)
  • Certification in CPR, First Aid, Blood borne Pathogens training, and NCI

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of county resources and opportunities
  • Great "people skills" and an ability to make lasting community connections
  • Ability to learn other technological recording methods i.e. EMRs/EHRs
  • Ability to work in a team model that changes regularly as needed
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to frequent change in work flow based on client need and service structure
  • HIPPA and Substance Abuse specific confidentiality and privacy rights
