Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accountant/ Bookkeeper to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for a full range of accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the AMS 360 accounting package and be responsible for a full range of accounting functions.

Responsibilities
> Financial Management:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Monitor cash flow to ensure the agency's financial stability.
> Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Manage the billing process, including issuing invoices to clients and reconciling payments from carriers.
Process vendor invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements.
Follow up on outstanding accounts and ensure timely collections.
> Bank Reconciliation:
Perform regular reconciliation of bank accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Monitor deposits and ensure accurate recording of funds.
> Financial Reporting:
Generate financial reports for management, including budget variance analyses and expense tracking.
Assist with annual budget preparation and forecasting.
> Compliance and Record Keeping:
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting principles, tax regulations, and agency policies.
Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation for audit purposes.
> Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with producers and account managers to ensure accuracy of billing and carrier payments.
Provide financial insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 Years Experience: With AMS360 or with a similar insurance accounting package, such as EPIC within the insurance industry.
Comprehensive Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of all relevant accounting functions.
Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
Detail-Oriented & Organized: High attention to detail, combined with strong organizational and time management skills, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Proficiency in Insurance Management Systems: Experience using insurance agency accounting software such as AMS 360 or Applied Epic.
Self-Motivated & Adaptable: Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
