Southport Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Business Office / Clerical Supervisor with strong experience in nursing home business office operations to support the Administrator and work closely with the Business Office Manager. This role focuses on managing financial processes, resident accounts, and medical records, ensuring compliance and efficiency in daily operations within a skilled nursing facility.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Report to the Administrator and assist with daily administrative tasks and projects.
  • Collaborate with the Business Office Manager to monitor accounts, process payments, oversee collections, and manage financial workflows specific to a skilled nursing facility.
  • Manage resident trust accounts, including Personal Needs Allowance (PNA) and resident banking.
  • Handle applications and follow-ups for Medicaid, Medicare, insurance, and Social Security benefits, ensuring compliance with regulations specific to long-term care.
  • Maintain and organize medical records in accordance with facility policies, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Educate residents and families on financial responsibilities and available assistance programs related to skilled care.
  • Perform clerical duties such as preparing deposits, organizing mail, and generating reports for business office operations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure timely completion of tasks, particularly regarding financial matters and documentation.

Schedule :

Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, onsite.

Qualifications :

  • Must have experience in business office operations in a nursing home environment, including managing billing, collections, accounts, and regulatory processes.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and insurance processes in skilled care.
  • Experience in financial operations, including billing, collections, and account management specific to long-term care.
  • Proficiency in managing medical records and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for working with residents, families, and team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative tools.
