Job Summary
Responsible for inspecting and preparing trucks for sale, coordinating their movement between departments, and performing minor mechanical tasks to ensure vehicle readiness. The role involves updating the dealership’s website with accurate vehicle inventory, supporting the sales team, and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Essential Duties

Truck Preparation for Sale
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming trucks upon delivery, evaluating critical components such as tires, mirrors, and windshields to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Assist in the reconditioning process of trucks for retail sale, under the guidance of the manager and sales team.
- Maintain detailed records of all reconditioning activities, including inspection findings and completed tasks, ensuring accurate documentation.

Truck Transportation and Logistics
- Coordinate the movement of trucks between the service department, body shop, and frontline inventory to ensure proper placement and readiness.
- Transport trucks to off-lot locations as needed, ensuring safe and timely delivery.

Website and Marketing Updates
- Capture high-quality, professional photographs of trucks for online listings and marketing purposes.
- Update and maintain the dealership's website with accurate, compelling truck details, ensuring the information is presented in a way to attract potential buyers.

Minor Mechanical Tasks
- Perform basic mechanical repairs and adjustments on trucks, including tasks such as fixing lights, mirrors, and other minor issues to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Record all completed mechanical tasks for future reference and to ensure continuity in maintenance activities.

General Assistance
- Provide support to the sales team by preparing trucks for customer presentations and assisting with documentation as needed.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the truck lot, ensuring a safe and visually appealing environment for both employees and customers.

Process Improvement and Communication
- Identify opportunities for enhancing the efficiency of inspection, transportation, and reconditioning processes to improve overall workflow.
- Collaborate effectively with the service department, manager, and sales team to ensure trucks are retail-ready within the designated timelines.
- Other duties and tasks, as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
