Role
As a Flower Grower, you will play a hands-on role in cultivating high-quality flowers and ensuring the success of our urban flower farms. Youll contribute to our mission by combining sustainable farming practices with creative problem-solving and teamwork.
Your Core Contributions To The Team
flower cultivation and care
- Plan, plant, and nurture flowers from seed to harvest.
- Monitor soil health and implement fertilization or composting as needed.
- Manage pests and diseases using organic and sustainable methods.
- Prune, weed, and irrigate crops to optimize growth and quality.
farm operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and functional workspace, including tools and equipment.
- Set up and dismantle farming infrastructure, such as irrigation systems and hoop houses.
- Collaborate with team members to manage planting schedules, crop rotations, and harvest timelines.
harvesting and post-harvest handling
- Harvest flowers at their peak for maximum quality.
- Handle, sort, and package flowers for delivery to ensure freshness and beauty.
About You
Knowledge, abilities, and qualifications
- Proven experience in farming or agricultural management; experience with flowers a plus but not required.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, crop management, and soil health.
- Excellentorganizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labor, lifting 50 pounds.

All The Other Stuff
This position reports to the Farm Operations manager and is a non-exempt position.
This is a full-time position, requiring 8 hour shifts that occur Monday through Friday, including evening shifts and/or weekend shifts as needed. Overtime may be required.
