We are hiring a Senior Floral Production Lead! This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily floral production, shop operations, and event execution to ensure high-quality floral arrangements and efficient workflow. We are looking for an experienced leader with strong floral design expertise, production management skills, and team leadership experience to drive efficiency, maintain quality control, and elevate the artistic and operational standards of our floral shop.

Role

As a Senior Floral Production Lead, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of floral production, inventory oversight, quality control, and event execution. You will lead Junior Floral and assistant flower shop production members ensuring smooth workflow, staff development, and high-end floral execution. Additionally, you will mentor junior floral staff, oversee shop efficiency and sustainability practices, and collaborate with leadership to drive operational success.


Your Core Contributions To The Team


  • Supervise & Train Staff: Lead Floral team members, including Junior Leads, Assistants, and Youth Apprentices, by providing training, mentorship, and clear expectations
  • Oversee & Optimize Floral Production: Supervise all aspects of the floral production process, ensuring workflow efficiency and artistic excellence in all designs.
  • Event Floral Execution – Oversee event floral production, including large-scale functions such as weddings and corporate events, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Quality Control & Design Standards: Review floral arrangements to ensure consistency, durability, and aesthetic excellence before delivery.
  • Shop Organization & Maintenance: Ensure that work spaces, tools, and inventory areas remain clean, efficient, and well-maintained.

About You


  • Extensive experience in floral production, retail floral management, or event floral design.
  • Proven leadership abilities, including staff training, team development, and workflow oversight.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot production or inventory challenges.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate across departments and ensure shop operations run efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in floral design, production, and sustainability practices.
  • Physically capable of standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a fast-paced environment.


Job Description


The Senior Floral Production Lead is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily floral operations, staff supervision, inventory oversight, and event floral execution. This position is ideal for an experienced floral professional who is passionate about quality design, production efficiency, and team mentorship.

Key Responsibilities


  • Advanced Floral Production: Execute high-end floral arrangements for daily sales, events, and special occasions while maintaining quality standards.
  • Event Floral Execution: Plan, coordinate, and lead floral event setups, ensuring high-end floral arrangements meet client specifications.
  • Staff Leadership & Training: Oversee flower production members providing guidance and ensuring quality standards.Own opening and closing procedures, delegating tasks, and ensuring a smooth workflow in the shop. Serve as a floor supervisor, ensuring workflow efficiency and production deadlines are met.
  • Schedule & Manage Shifts: Responsible for creating and maintaining the floral team’s work schedule. Ensure adequate staffing levels, approve shift changes, and monitor attendance. Ensure all team members properly clock in and out.
  • Enforce Workplace Policies & Corrective Action: Monitor team performance and adherence to floral policies, including attendance, safety, and work quality. Address performance or behavioral issues as they arise, providing feedback and implementing corrective action in coordination with leadership and HR.
  • Ensure Compliance with Floral Safety Protocols: Adhere to and enforce safety regulations, ensuring that all floral work is carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Inventory & Supply Oversight: Manage flower stock, hard goods, and shop supplies, placing orders and tracking inventory to maintain operational consistency.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all floral products meet shop standards before delivery or customer pickup.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the Senior Floral Production Lead and Operational Supervisor to coordinate daily production goals and address workflow challenges.Ensuring clear communication and problem resolution.
  • Sustainability Practices: Follow Eco-friendly guidelines in floral care and waste management.


Requirements


  • Floral Design & Event Knowledge – Advanced skills required.
  • Team Mentorship: Provide feedback on team performance, helping to identify employees ready for promotion.
  • Weekend & Holiday Availability: The floral industry experiences peak demand during weekends and holidays, so the ability to work during these times is essential to meet customer needs and ensure smooth farm operations.
  • Physical Stamina & Strength: This role requires lifting and carrying buckets of water, bags of soil, and other heavy objects, as well as standing for extended periods.
  • Reliability & Commitment: Consistent attendance is crucial to maintaining operations. Team members are expected to adhere to their scheduled shifts and provide timely notice for any necessary absences. 
  • Teamwork & Communication: Must be able to work collaboratively and take direction from supervisors and senior floral staff.


All The Other Stuff


This position reports to the Operational Supervisor. In their absence, the Chief Operating Officer will provide oversight and direction as needed. This is a non-exempt position.
