Teacher The Teacher shall be responsible for the following: ❖ Compliance at all times ❖ Abide by state licensing regulations ❖ Abide by SSCC policies and procedures ❖ Classroom management 59 ❖ Daily care of the children’s individual needs ❖ Plan and implement curriculum to meet the individual physical, cognitive and the social and emotional developmental needs of the children. ❖ Assist the Director in the daily operations of the center ❖ Provide a safe and clean environment ❖ Meal service ❖ Clean and disinfect toys, tables, chairs, shelves, cubbies, etc. daily ❖ Maintain a clutter free classroom environment ❖ Maintain accurate record of children in your care ❖ Follow transition plan and record on appropriate form ❖ Remain standing and moving while in the classroom and on the playground Additionally, during Nap Time the Teacher shall be responsible for the following: ❖ Place cots 12” apart ❖ Ensure you can see every child laying on a cot ❖ Cover each cot with a sheet ❖ Allow children to cover up with a waist high blanket (does not include infants/children sleeping in a crib) ❖ Comfort/Pat any child who need help resting ❖ Complete Daily Cleaning Checklist and turn in to Director ❖ Prepare materials for afternoon and next day activities ❖ Check all outlets for plug covers ❖ Check for maintenance needs and submit list to Director ❖ Clean bathrooms if located in classroom ❖ Check cubbies for weather appropriate change of clothes, diapers, wipes, etc. and record needs on daily gram ❖ ONE day each week you should spend 30 minutes and prepare the lesson plan for the following week ❖ Any and all duties assigned by the Executive Management Team, Director or Assistant Director.
