About the role
As a Certified Medical Assistant / Medical Assistant , you will provide essential support to our medical providers, assist with patient care, and perform laboratory functions to ensure high-quality healthcare services for our community.
What you"ll do
- Prepare patients for examinations, including recording vital signs, current complaints, and medications.
- Assist providers with patient exams, treatments, and minor surgical procedures.
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations under supervision.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens; perform routine lab procedures.
- Conduct phlebotomy for safe blood sample collection.
- Restock and maintain medical and laboratory supplies in exam rooms.
- Educate patients about diagnostic tests and treatments as directed.
- Support family planning instruction when requested.
- Maintain accurate laboratory logs and ensure timely follow-up on test results.
- Participate in staff meetings and committees to foster collaboration.
What We"re Looking For :
Confidence and professional judgment under pressure.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program; CMA certification preferred but not required.
Position Details and Benefits
This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position with a starting pay of $23 per hour for Medical Assistants or $26 per hour for Certified Medical Assistants.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
This role operates in a professional medical clinic, requiring the use of standard office and medical equipment. The position demands effective communication with team members and patients, the ability to identify physical cues on patients, and interaction with individuals who may have communicable illnesses.
Physical requirements include maintaining stationary positions, frequent movement throughout the clinic, lifting items up to 10 lbs., assisting patients on or off exam tables, and occasional use of stairs or ladders. The role also involves recognizing and responding to potential health concerns through observation and sensory awareness.
