About the role
The Patient Care Representative - Dental plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient patient flow, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Answering phones, providing information, and scheduling and confirming dental appointments.
- Ensuring the pre-visit process is followed and verifying patient insurance information.
- Greeting patients, assisting with registration, and maintaining accurate records.
- Collecting payments and ensuring charge sheets are completed.
- Supporting continuous quality improvement efforts and attending staff meetings.
- Keeping the front office and lobby clean and organized.
- Assisting with interpreting, if needed, and dispensing glasses if Vision Clinic staff are unavailable.
- Collaborating with team members to provide a seamless patient experience.

Position Details and Benefits
This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position with a starting pay rate of $19 / hour.

Work Environment
This position operates in a professional optical clinic environment, requiring the use of standard office equipment and vision clinic tools. The role involves extended periods of stationary work, occasional movement within the clinic, and fine motor tasks such as eyeglass adjustments and lens handling. Effective communication skills are essential for interaction with team members and patients. Light lifting (up to 5 lbs.) and occasional use of cleaning products may be required.
