ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greets and communicates well with customers in person or via phone to ensure accuracy of order and customer satisfaction
- Knowledgeable of menu, demonstrates suggestive selling
- Packages food correctly for dine in and to go orders
- Ensures order completion and accuracy
- Uses register to track all transactions
- Demonstrates accurate cash handling abilities. Complies with Southside Market’s Cashier Accountability Policy
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of cashier area and cash drawer
- Follows all TABC regulations for responsible alcohol sales
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Food Handler Certificate required prior to day 1.
TABC required if 18 years of age
Previous cash handling experience preferred.
Ability to listen, read, write and speak fluently in English for all job related circumstances.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Practical problem solving skills.
While performing the duties of this job, he/she is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. He/she is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. He/she must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
