Southside School District - Elementary Principal - to perform all leadership functions of a small elementary school grades K-7, 200 students
- Leads staff in the use and facilitation of technology in the delivery of curriculum, instruction and assessment.
- Demonstrates committed collaboration with the superintendent, district office directors, principal colleagues, associations and unions to ensure systemic planning and implementation of the District's Strategic Plan goals and measures.
- Fosters school spirit, traditions and a positive school culture.
- Communicates information to stakeholders in multiple, meaningful ways.
- Participates in and provides professional development and models current and best instructional practices.
- Models effective instructional leadership with staff and colleagues and demonstrates a strong commitment to equitable outcomes for all students.
- Ensures effective systems are in place to monitor student progress.
- Promotes an environment which fosters high expectations for students, staff and self.

The principal is a member of the administrative team and reports to the district administrator in all matters and through the assistant district administrator regarding curriculum, instruction, assessment, personnel, and transportation. The primary role of the principal is to provide the leadership of the school's educational program for all children in a positive, safe, and orderly environment. The principal is also responsible for evaluating the staff that implements that educational program.

The instructional staff; instructional aides.
CERTIFICATION / QUALIFICATIONS :
Have excellent written and verbal skills; and,
Demonstrated leadership and team member experience.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :
General :
Initiate work orders; and,
Perform all other tasks assigned.
Curriculum :
Administrate the district's testing program in the elementary school; and,
Complete all DPI and other agency curriculum and instruction reports.
Instruction :
Organize the building's staff development program; and,
Evaluate all instructional and support staff assigned according to board policies and timelines.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT :
This position is contracted for 223 days per year with salary, fringe benefits, and other conditions of employment established by the district Superintendent. Performance shall be evaluated by the district Superintendent, using the administrative evaluation process established in board policy.
