As an Employment Specialist, you will :
- Collaborate as part of a dedicated team to help individuals with disabilities shape and achieve their career goals.
- Meet with Job Seekers to guide them through the job development process, providing valuable insights into potential job opportunities and establishing clear job development targets.
- Support Job Seekers in creating compelling resumes, navigating the application process, enhancing interviewing skills, and engaging in other key job preparedness activities.
- Provide comprehensive skills development training to help Job Seekers succeed in the workforce.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with local businesses to identify potential employers who align with our Job Seekers' skills and interests.
- Proactively reach out to and maintain regular communication with both current and potential employers to foster long-term partnerships.
- Act as a liaison between employers and Job Seekers after job placement to ensure a smooth transition and successful employment outcomes.
- Assist Job Seekers in securing meaningful, long-term employment opportunities that match their interests and abilities, while also providing ongoing support to ensure job retention.
- Make a lasting impact on individuals' futures by empowering them to achieve success in the workplace.
